SnT: rough draftAcross the seas of misfortune
lies a promised land:
a valley of hopes, of dreams, of future.
Across a chasm unfathomable
lies what I claim to love,
that which makes life seem worthy of the while.
Beyond a desert never-ending
awaits an oasis, crystal clear in prospect,
a glistening pool of life-giving breath.
But yet,
on the sea I am left shipless
by the chasm, bridgeless,
and for all the storms raging around me
not one can offer a drop of cool water

half hour pumpkinby ~k-ee-ran

as the title suggests, this pumpkin was scooped and carved in a timed half-hour contest

I'm really glad Bree had this pumpkin-carving contest at her Halloween party, too, because I'd been insanely busy and didn't have time to carve the pumpkin I'd bought. D: _{alas, I'll save the idea I had for next year}

this was done by myself and ~bloodyjackfaber in a joint/team effort---BJ scooped out the pumpkin while I carved it.
_{and, of course, other teams were all "AREN'T YOU AFRAID OF STABBING HER HAND?!" but...as Bree told them, this was really one of the least dangerous things BJ and I had done together. xD;; sticking a hand into a pumpkin that I'm stabbing? psssh, no problem.}

I wanted to take a better quality picture of this, but alas, all I got the opportunity for was a derpy shot with the camera I had at the party. :/ meh.
